What We Believe

There’s room for you here—
and truth worth building your life on.

At Lighthouse Bible Church, we believe you shouldn’t have to wonder what a church believes.

Our faith is rooted in the Word of God and centered on Jesus Christ. These truths shape what we teach, how we worship, how we care for one another, and how we live beyond Sunday morning.

Our desire is to glorify God through faith, hope, and love—worshiping Him, learning from His Word, building meaningful relationships, and sharing the hope of Christ with others.

Our Core Beliefs

GOD &
HIS WORD

Scripture

We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God and our final authority for faith and life.

2 Timothy 3:16–17
2 Peter 1:20–21
Psalm 119:105

The Triune God

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Deuteronomy 6:4
Matthew 28:19
2 Corinthians 13:14

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. Through His death and resurrection, He accomplished redemption for sinners.

John 1:1, 14 · Colossians 2:9
1 Corinthians 15:3–4
1 Peter 2:24

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit indwells believers, transforms us, and empowers us to live lives that reflect Christ.

John 14:16–17
Romans 8:9–14
Galatians 5:22–25

THE
GOSPEL

Humanity

We believe humanity was created in the image of God but fell into sin through Adam, leaving every person in need of reconciliation with God.

Genesis 1:26–27
Romans 3:23
Romans 5:12

Salvation

We believe salvation is the gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone—not something we can earn.

John 3:16 · Ephesians 2:8–9
Romans 10:9–10 · Acts 4:12

Security

We believe those who have truly placed their faith in Christ are eternally secure in Him.

John 10:27–29
Romans 8:38–39
Ephesians 1:13–14

Eternity

We believe in eternal life with God for those who belong to Christ and eternal separation from God for those who reject Him.

John 3:16–18 · Matthew 25:46
Revelation 21:1–4

THE
CHURCH

The Body of Christ

We believe the Church is made up of all who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ, united together as His body.

1 Corinthians 12:12–27
Ephesians 4:4–6
Colossians 1:18

Baptism & the
Lord’s Supper

We observe baptism and the Lord’s Supper as Christ instructed His Church.

Matthew 28:19–20
Romans 6:3–4
1 Corinthians 11:23–26

Spiritual Gifts

We believe God gives spiritual gifts to believers for the purpose of serving others and building up the body of Christ.

Romans 12:4–8
1 Corinthians 12:4–7
1 Peter 4:10–11

Christian Unity

We believe Christians can be deeply united without agreeing on every secondary issue. We hold firmly to the essentials, extend grace in non-essentials, and seek to practice love in all things.

Romans 14:1–13 · Ephesians 4:1–6
Colossians 3:12–14

LIVING
OUR FAITH

Christian Living

We believe following Jesus transforms everyday life. We are called to walk by the Spirit and increasingly reflect the character of Christ.

Romans 12:1–2
Galatians 5:16, 22–25
Colossians 3:12–17

Faith & Culture

We believe Christians are called to engage the world around us with grace and truth while allowing God’s Word—not the culture around us—to determine what is true.

Matthew 5:13–16
John 17:14–18 · Romans 12:2

The Return of Christ

We believe Jesus Christ will return, and His promised return gives believers enduring hope.

John 14:1–3 · Acts 1:11
1 Thessalonians 4:16–18

The Spiritual Realm

We believe Scripture teaches the reality of angels and fallen spiritual beings. We also believe Jesus Christ is Lord over every power and authority, and our confidence rests in Him.

Ephesians 6:10–12
Colossians 2:15 · Hebrews 1:14

You don’t have to have it all figured out before you come.

Maybe you’ve followed Jesus for decades. Maybe you’re returning to church after a long time away. Maybe you have questions you’re not even sure you’re allowed to ask.

Bring them.

At Lighthouse, we believe truth can withstand honest questions, grace has room for imperfect people, and no one needs to pretend they’ve already arrived.

The porch light is on.
